The Gender Pay Gap in Hungary is 13,2%. People are aware there is a pay gap but they don't know how much money women lose because of it.
It takes a woman 13,2% longer to make as much as a man in a year.
To drive this point home, Elle Magazine wanted to encourage other companies to take actions against the wage gap too, so they wished happy new year to woman 13e,2% later: on February 24th.
22 companies took the "we believe in equal pay" pledge to integrate equal pay into their company policies. 12 celebrities spread the message on their own social channels, reaching 21% of the adult population of Hungary.
